OGS Webinar: Crime, Prison, and Punishment: Researching UK Criminal and Prisoner Records Online

On the first Thursday of every month, the Ontario Genealogical Society hosts an education webinar.  This month, Debra Dudek will be presenting a webinar entitled ‘Crime, Prison, and Punishment: Researching UK Criminal and Prisoner Records Online’.   The presentation will begin at 7pm EST on August 2 and registration is required.

Debra says “Whether by choice or circumstance, some of your ancestors may have found themselves on the wrong side of the law. The vast array of criminal and prison records available online and at the National Archives in Kew can offer researchers a great deal of information for their ancestors in a pre-census world”.
