July Blog Submissions

 

Here at the NextGen Genealogy Network, we love to hear about your ancestors and the discoveries you have made.  We are launching a themed monthly guest blog series that will give you a platform to tell our thousands of followers about your ancestors and their interesting lives.

This month’s theme is “Land of the free, because of the brave – our Revolutionary War ancestors”.  

Blog Submission Guidelines

If you are interested in writing a blog post for NextGen, please review the following submission guidelines prior to submission.

  • Please ensure all necessary citations are included.
  • Include a photo and short bio on yourself in the email.
  • By submitting your work, you are giving NextGen permission for use on our website and social media.

New Position: Volunteer Coordinator

 

The NextGen Genealogy Network has an opening for a Volunteer Coordinator on our Leadership Team.  Applicants must be organized, motivated and enthusiastic about the NextGen mission.

Duties will include

*Maintaining a calendar of all local/state/U.S & Canadian genealogy events.
*Managing a database of volunteers in these areas.
*Coordinating volunteers to manage booths & meetups at these events.
*Distributing marketing materials and NextGen swag to the volunteers.

*Attendance at a monthly Google Hangouts Leadership meeting is mandatory*

New Position: Graphic Design Assistant

 

The NextGen Genealogy Network has a new position open on our Leadership Team.
We are looking for a volunteer Graphic Design Assistant who is experienced with Adobe.   Applicants must be motivated and enthusiastic about the NextGen mission.  Position duties will include designing promotional material and creating original graphics.  Attendance at a monthly Google Hangouts Leadership meeting is mandatory.

Any experience with Canva, WordPress and Zazzle is a bonus.

OGS NextGen Meetup

 

 

The Ontario Genealogical Society Conference 2018 is being held June 1st-3rd in Guelph, Ontario and NextGen will be there!

Join us on Saturday June 2nd from 9-10pm  at the Fifty West Bar at Delta Hotels Guelph Conference Centre.

The hotel conference centre is located at 50 Stone Road W, Guelph, Ontario, N1G 0A9
