NextGen Regional Groups!

The NextGen Genealogy Network is excited to launch a new initiative – NextGen Regional Groups.

These groups will be organized by geographical area to make it easier for meetups and networking.  We are launching our first regional group for the South East region of the U.S – Georgia, Florida, Tennessee etc.   We hope to launch similar groups for other regions soon.

We want you to share your discoveries, learn new things and connect with like minded people in your area!

We hope that by having smaller regional Facebook groups, we can help create networks of young genealogists in every state and bring the NextGen mission to life!

NextGen Welcomes Graphic Designer

The NextGen Genealogy Network welcomes Emily Phillips as our new Graphic Designer. Emily first became interested in genealogy after a class assignment in her freshmen year of high school got her hooked. She then joined the Genealogical Society of Monroe County, where she was the youngest member. She enjoys researching her French Canadian and Polish roots. In fact, researching her family tree has helped Emily make many new connections, including her distant Polish relatives, who she visited in 2016. They still live in her ancestral village of Jabłonka, Poland.

Emily graduated, in 2017, from Saginaw Valley State University with a degree in graphic design. She currently lives in Monroe County, Michigan. She hopes that her knowledge of graphic design will help NextGen as we continue to grow as an online community.

If you want to check out Emily’s designs visit her Instagram account at emilyphillips.design or her online portfolio at EmilyPhillipsDesign.
